Onie Jackson
At a very young age Onie joined courses at the famous Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts to study drawing. As a young artist he rebelled against his rigid art education and instead of canvases he chose the streets for his works by doing graffiti art.
He will later follow the courses of the higher school of Graphic Design and Visual Communication of Blois from where he graduated in 1998. Onie worked as a graphic designer until 2003, when he co-founded the Wall Gallery, which would host renowned urban artists. In 2006, his painting took a new path on canvas, alternating graffiti and figurative compositions, where the drawing he had always practiced and the representation of bodies held an essential place.

Onie likes to paint genre or imaginary scenes in which he translates his time with poetry and a touch of irony. Always in search of balance in his works, he imagines neat compositions in muted colors all in nuances. The singular craftsmanship of his painting, his sure and mastered line give him a strong identity.
