OLIVIA LEIGH MORRIS is a multi-dimensional artist based in Melbourne, Australia. In search of “tracing betweenness”, she focuses on the investigation of space by playing with concepts of addiction, subtraction, unearthing and mapping.

Her artistic approach translates into a multi-faceted body of work consisting of prints, sculptures and site-specific intervention: they represent Morris’ attempts to merge boundaries by moulding negative space into positive space and combining the past, present and future.

Her prints are achieved by using the techniques of intaglio print, etching and aquatint: a further expression of her subtraction/addiction artistic approach, due the process requiring the engraving or cut of the material to obtain the final result.

Morris attended RMIT University, where she obtained her Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts and received First Class Honours for her Bachelor in FIne Arts. Her latest work was presented in an online exhibition “Honours Graduate Show '' at RMIT in London. Morris received 1st place for the “RMIT School of Art Postcard Prize” in 2017 and the “Bus Projects Award'' in 2020.
