DENIZ AKTAY is a digital furniture designer based in Stuttgart, Germany.
“HOMMAGE” Chaise Longue
Aktay graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Stuttgart in 2012 and while he might be an up-and-coming designer, he has already established himself as a furniture rendering superstar. He says it is the perfect strategy for someone who has endless ideas but not yet the means to realize all of them.
“THE TIE” Stool
He creates hyper-realistic renderings of self designed furniture pieces. Even though Deniz just started to share his works in 2020 on Instagram, he already amassed an impressive audience since then - 82.700 to be exact. This also reflects the extremely high quality of his work in a very competitive field. His concepts also caught the interest of some well established furniture manufacturers like Moooi.

“THE LOONY II” Coffe Table
Before embarking on a rendering, Aktay likes to sketch his concepts. He later uses Maxon’s Cinema4D and Corona Renderer to turn his ideas into a 3D model. The designs usually know how to shine with a harmonious balance of creative eccentricity and practical use. The modern design approaches are mostly withdrawn, so that a minimalist overall picture is created.

“Over time I figured out that good design means for me finding the right harmony between proportion, material and functionality. This goes with my demand for simplicity, originality, proper element joining, detailing and appropriate use of the materials involved.” - Deniz Aktay
