JOSEPH TÖREKI is a 3D, digital and Neo ceramics designer based in Heidelberg, Germany. He has an enormous fascination for craftsmanship, nature and a strong curiosity for aesthetics and experimentation.
"LIVING GLAZE"
Joseph was working in advertising when he decided to start tattooing, drawing and graffiti to add something interesting to his routine. He then discovered his interest in digital design.
"DIGITAL GLAZE RETRO"
He describes his work as being “random” because of his experimentation with forms. His aim while working in clay is to make something look like it is unintentional and accidental, blending in with nature.
"DIGITAL IKEBANA"
Approaching his work in the same way a sculptor or a ceramicist would, he creates forms and shapes by using different techniques and then experiments with various types of glazes and materials such as copper, raku and glass.
"DIGITAL COPPER GLAZE"
Joseph believes that he can build a bridge between digital and physical and reinforce that connection between the two. As he is never one to settle with just one medium, he plans to get away from the digital and make more physical objects in the future.
